Hi there! Kelly here! I pray you are truly happy, excited and grateful to be alive! This topic has been given to me and I am excited to write about it. I can simply say straight away, that what is expected of Christians in the 21st Century, I believe, is exactly what would be expected in any other century. Jesus said, “If you love me you will obey my teaching” (John 14:23). If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, then obviously these words He spoke apply to His followers forever! However, different translations of the Holy bible have slightly different wording from version to version and so in the modern world, there can therefore be misunderstanding of what is expected of us, by Jesus and His Father.
Different interpretations can lead to confusion and frustration. Going back in time, there would have been less and less to choose from in terms of translations and interpretations. I must say I am still a big fan of the new King James version. I can’t explain this, I just feel deep inside that it is a powerful translation that is clear to me. Perhaps this is because when I first became a Christian, this was the first Holy Bible I had ever read. Reading the Gospels from that version, I experienced the words of Jesus setting me on fire and the fire gets bigger every day! Amazing!!
I pray for this experience for all Christians as there is nothing I have ever had happen to me in my search for the truth, as when the words of Jesus were setting my heart on fire. The fire that I experienced when I first read the words of Jesus (Luke 12:49) where He says that He came to throw a fire onto the earth and that He wished it was “already kindled”, was certainly lit in me. The fire continues to build as I pursue the “way, the truth and the life” (as Jesus describes Himself) to get to His Father and obey Him. This journey brings a fire in my heart every day that is beyond description. It is something I believe that each person will experience in their own unique individual way, with Jesus Himself. Jesus though, is obviously expecting the “fire” to be alive and burning brightly in His followers.
The point here with regard to the 21st century, is that Jesus is alive and well, and no matter which Holy Bible you read, you can speak to Him directly and have a personal relationship with Him! Once you have this personal relationship with Him, He says himself that we are not to call anyone else “teacher”, for He is our only teacher. Therefore, as He is our only teacher, He is expecting us to “ask”, and “we will receive”, “seek” and we will find, “knock” and the door will be opened for us(Matthew 7:7). With Jesus in the role in our lives as our “only teacher”, we can ask Him any questions and He will answer them.
Jesus also said that we will not enter “the Kingdom” unless we do the will of His Father (Matthew 7:21-23). So I can “lightly” say that in the 21st century what is expected of a Christian is the same as any other time, but with all of the interpretations of the words spoken by Jesus over 2,000 years ago, this may be quite a task to really understand what is being required of Christians right now. The thing that may be making it very difficult for Christians to truly know what is required of us, is simply perhaps, not taking enough time out to seek from Jesus Himself what He wants us to do.
How much time do we all have to be able to really seek the answers to our questions from Jesus? There are so many distractions in the modern world and having spent that last 20 years singing, recording, speaking and running workshops internationally, I have witnessed many Christians world wide, who are not really having or creating enough time to seek Jesus for answers to their questions. They also may not have time to even seek within to find the questions they need to ask Jesus to go deeper with Him!
The fact is though that whether we were born this century or one thousand years ago, there are still twenty four hours in a day. So for us in the twenty first century, the big question is, what are our priorities? For myself personally, I made my choice in August, 1988, when I read the words of Jesus in a “non-Christian” book. As I read His words, it was as if He was speaking directly to me, personally, saying that if I would “obey God” I could do what He did, and even greater things”. (John 12:14)
Knowing very little about Jesus at that time, these words were still mind blowing to me, because I knew that I wanted to be a healer. I was very into the “new age” movement then, and so wanted to be able to help people and heal them by just “laying hands” on them, (I was then a “Reiki” healer) and they would be healed. Even though I knew such a small amount about the actual man Jesus and what He did, I did know that He healed people, and was the most famous healer I had ever heard of.
So when I read in that book that this man Jesus was telling me that if I would obey God, I could do what He did and even greater things, I felt that my mind blew open to this point where I could see that Jesus was showing me that all I had to do was obey God and I could be a healer like Him! Wow! That was the biggest “wow” moment I had ever had in my whole life up until then!
Then I realised that I couldn’t obey God unless I spoke to Him and asked Him what to do for Him, so I walked outside and looked up to the sky. I said, “God, I give you my life. Tell me what you want me to do for you and I will do it! I want to make a difference for you. I want to do what Jesus said, to do what He did and even greater things!” A voice spoke to me immediately within a split second. That voice has been speaking to me ever since. That voice lead me to become a Christian seven years later. That voice is the Almighty God who has lead me to have a life that is beyond what people can even dream of. The story of what God has lead me to is taking many books to tell, but the testimony of the reality of God I have is huge and continues every day.
God always shows me that when He speaks to me, there is a continuous confirmation of His instructions in the outside, or physical world. The very next day after giving up my life to God, He showed me His voice in the physical realms. I was jogging along the road, out in the bush and He called to me, “Stop”. This was a loud shout. A man’s deep voice. It was so loud, that I stopped almost in a state of shock! It sounded like someone was right behind me. There was no-one physically there. My eyes were drawn to the road and only a few metres from my feet, coming over the road at a considerable speed was a long black Tiger snake.
I stood with the spirit of God filling me and I became as still as a statue. I had no fear in me at all. I stood in awe of the fact that “the voice” had just saved my life. If those snakes bite you, you can be dead in minutes. Well I am alive writing this to you and I am so grateful to be doing this!!! I have been seeking ever since that first day to obey God, but I did not want to ever be a Christian, so I was on the maddest path. Trying to obey God, without Jesus. I have a very big testimony for non-Christians as to the truth that Jesus lives, because I really tried hard to get around being a Christian. This is a story for another time, but for anyone reading this who is involved in the new age movement and believes you can go onto the life that you dream of having without Jesus, please contact me. I have so much to share with you.
Coming back to Christians in the modern world, I have discovered that we must make time to do what Jesus said and “seek”. Seek what? Ask. Knock. Jesus says that “heaven and earth shall pass away” but His words “will never pass away”. These words are telling us that whatever happens the words that Jesus spoke over 2,000 years ago are so important and so big that they will “never pass away”.
Knowing that He said these words, then what next for us in the 21st century? On the surface, there appears to be a very simple answer to this question. For Christians, with Jesus telling us that His words will “never pass away”, we are being clearly told, that to know His words, His commands and everything He spoke about, is the most essential thing we can really do in this world! This is obvious.
The more I come to know Jesus and His words, the more I realise that His words are the most precious “things” that I have on earth. It is through His words that I come to know Him more and more every day, as I ask Him, “face to face” wherever and whenever I can.
Sometimes when I am driving in the car, listening to the Gospels which I have a recording of, I will stop the CD and simply say to Jesus, “Lord Jesus can you please explain what you are saying or what you mean” about the particular point I am asking about in that moment.
It used to really shock me, and now I am far more used to this, but He really shows me or reveals to me exactly what He means and gives me the answer to all of my questions. It no longer shocks me, it excites me so much to have this beautiful and personal relationship with Jesus, which belongs only to me and is between the two of us. This relationship leads to my ever blossoming relationship with His Father, who is now my Father and the Holy Spirit. The amazing thing is that this relationship is available to any person who will do what Jesus says and follow Him.
Before I became a Christian, I would have believed people who would say something to me like this were full of …rubbish! I would have said this in a much meaner way than how I am saying this here! Since I am on my journey knowing Jesus more and more every day, He is helping me in all ways. He is helping me to be kind. He is helping me to see other people’s points of view. He is helping me to become a better…me! If I was a sales person, I would have adds running 24/7 telling people what Jesus will do for them, if they will only come with Him. He is so amazing, it is beyond words what I can or could say to you or any person at any time. I have to really try not to be raving about Him, as He does so much for me every day.
It is overwhelming to even start on the journey of telling people how great He is and how much He loves all of us. The terrible thing is that so many people are in bondage and have no idea of having a relationship with the living Lord. Jesus warns us about what satan does with humans. He said, “Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear My word. You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:43-44 RSV)
I pray that from reading these words today, you will commit to start really talking with Jesus yourself. Take some time out every day to really read His words and also to talk with Him. For me now, He is always with me. I can speak with Him anytime day or night. This has come from my focus. With my inner focus on doing God’s will, I must seek in this way which is asking, “Father what do you want me to do for you today?”. To come to the Father of Jesus, Jesus says to me that I must come “through Him”. To come through Jesus, I must “love Him”, to have a relationship with Him. Jesus says for me to “love Him”, I must “obey His commands”. How can I obey His commands if I know nothing of His words? If I don’t take advantage of the fact that I have a Holy Bible and can read, what am I doing with my day?
Yes of course I know we are all so busy in the modern world, but what is more important to us? Watching football, shopping, talking on our phones, being on Facebook, playing video games and so on and so on! Whatever we believe or don’t believe, Jesus says, ” I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.” (Luke 12:5) If you believe that any of us can fool the one who has authority to “throw us into hell”, I pray for you right now to be delivered from this delusion that is coming from the devil. I know that Jesus loves me more than I can even express, but His warnings are to help us, to get our priorities right.
Of course we have many things to do in our daily lives, but deep inside at all times I have discovered that we are able to have God, Father Son and Holy Spirit at our very centre, at the core of ourselves. This comes from true dedication, putting God number one, obeying Jesus and the ten commandments and having a real desire to be a helper to bring God’s Kingdom onto this earth. Doing God’s will is the greatest joy I have discovered in the modern world. Nothing in the modern world compares to this state of being.
God bless you and see you again soon for the next episode from Kelly’s corner!😉

Audio Preaching – Jesus gave up His life. What are we giving up? What does He mean when he says “He who gives up his life will gain his life”. He is the “way the truth and the life” and he is expecting us to give up our ways to take up his ways.

Why is “Gospel Gladness” the greatest Gospel album ever recorded – because the music and lyrics have come from God, and He is great! Who can write greater music than what comes from Our Father! Kelly Is a musical prodigy who taught herself to play guitar at the age of 6 in a weekend. Like Mozart, who heard the music and wrote it down, the music words and lyrics are poured into her and she catches the songs and brings them into this world for the benefit of those who are seeking.
“Gospel Gladness” is a collection of songs that came from God and are like living water, a balm that heals, uplifts, strengthens, inspires, as well as instructs, because they are in accordance with scripture. Kelly’s music has triggered deep healing for many people. The “Golden Girl”, multiple Olympic gold medal winner Betty Cuthbert, cried for half an hour after hearing Kelly sing her song “Lest we forget”. Many healings have come from the songs of Gospel Gladness, depression has been lifted, people have been strengthened to help them achieve miracles that they needed in their lives, and many have been uplifted and had their spirit soothed.
One lady who heard Kelly’s song “Proud to be a housewife” on the radio when she was in the process of leaving her husband for ever, turned her car around and drove home. Kelly is one of the most faith filled, positive and inspirational people on this earth, and her music reflects this and imparts it to those who listen.
The “Gospel Gladness” story
Many of the songs on “Gospel Gladness” were written and the album was recorded in Bangkok, Thailand. Our Father took Kelly to Thailand at a time when there were tumultuous happenings politically in the country. He did many miracles using Kelly to make a big difference in the political situation in Thailand, as well has having Kelly to himself so he could give her the songs He wanted her to write for “Gospel Gladness”.
Kelly arrived in Thailand knowing one person and within 8 months she sang at the King of Thailand’s 80 th Birthday to a crowd of 500,000 people. This came about because she wrote the song “Long live the King of Thailand” to honour King Bumibol, who was an outstanding human being and much loved by his people. As this song became famous in Thailand, Kelly was asked to perform on the People’s Alliance for Democracy (“PAD”) stage at the occupied Government House in Bangkok. This brave group of people were and still are standing for democracy and against corruption in Thailand. Kelly sang regularly at the PAD stage for often around 200,000 people who would come from around Thailand to take a stand for their country and their future.
It was a potentially dangerous situation and one night Our Father warned Kelly to leave the stage telling her 3 times to “LEAVE NOW!”. After Kelly left a bomb went off under the stage where she was performing. Kelly was singing at the International Airport when it was closed down by the PAD protesters, which led to the resignation of the then government. Many people do not know that the Auditor General of Thailand who first discovered the mounting corruption in the Government of — — Thaksin, is a Christian who told the truth and could not be bought off. Our Father took Kelly to Thailand to make the difference that she could make for that country – to strengthen them with her songs and her speaking at churches. It was a potentially dangerous time for Kelly when He alone was her protection as she stood with Him for an honest and free Thailand. In this tumultuous and dangerous time of great faith and closeness with Our Father, He gave Kelly the album “Gospel Gladness”, which is to make a difference for all the people in the world, by bringing them the truth, power and gladness of the Gospels.
Jesus and men such as King David, lived in dangerous times and situations, and out of it brought great words, writings and music for our benefit. “Gospel Gladness” has come out of Kelly’s journey with God to overcome her own weaknesses and Satan’s dangers and snares, to come to the gladness and joy of truly living the life Jesus came to bring her. “Gospel Gladness” can uplift, heal and strengthen you to help you have this in your life.

What is “biodynamic farming?”
For any person who has never heard of “Biodynamic” agriculture, I would love
to give you an introduction in a “nutshell”, so that you can become a passionate
‘biodynamic’ enthusiast after reading this article! Biodynamic agriculture is a
huge passion for myself my husband and our family. It is also becoming a
passion for a growing number of people throughout the world. Probably the main
reason for our great enthusiasm, is that we have been able to bring “life” to the
soil and grow food without poisons for around 30 years. Also it is a truly
sustainable way of farming, not just with small areas of land but it can be done on
a much larger scale. We are now the longest running broad acre biodynamic
farmers in Western Australia farming around 3,000 acres since 1987.
Biodynamic farming was developed by the Austrian philosopher, Rudolf Steiner
and introduced to the world in 1924. It was the foundation of the “organic
movement” in agriculture internationally. Prior to the 20 th century, all food was
grown “organically”, without artificial inputs and chemicals for controlling pests
and weeds. With the introduction of the methods used in modern conventional
farming, biodynamic and organic methods became known as “alternative
agriculture”.
Having been a biodynamic farmer now, since the late 80’s, I would say the “nut
shell” description of what we do, is that we gather cow manure (from only our
own cows) and pour the manure into empty cow-horns. We then bury the horns
under the ground for a few months during the winter. When we remove the
manure from the horns, the substance that once was ‘simply’ cow manure has
transformed into what is known as “500”. (It is called “500” because there are 500
million living bacteria in one gram of this material. Many agronomists are now
speaking about the importance of “microbes” leading to much healthier soil. The
application of 500, results in a quantum leap in microbe activity in the soil. This in
turn leads to a major increase in the health and vitality of the soil, which of course
leads to the same in the foods grown in this soil.)
The cow manure after it has become ‘500’ changes and smells sweet. It is no
longer like cow manure and more like compost. However, it is also not like
compost. You can hold it in your hand, and it feels spongy. It is black in colour
and you can roll it to form it into a ball.
One hand full of this “500” mixed with a quantity of water and stirred in a
container in a specific way for one hour is enough “activator” to spray one acre of
land. The results we are achieving in many ways are astonishing from the
perspective of not only the health and vigour of our pastures and the animals, but
also the profitability of our farming operation.
From the consumer’s point of view though, I know people who are looking to eat
‘clean’ food would be very interested to know a lot more about what is happening
in the production of their food and also what is happening in the environment in
which they live. How “clean” is the food being purchased by people all over the
world?
Would you choose to eat ‘Biodynamic food’ as opposed to conventionally
grown food ?
Please humour me for a moment, and ask your self a simple question. If you
were given the choice between eating foods, which were grown in the following
two completely different ways, which would you choose for the health of yourself
and your family?(If you are interested in letting us know, and perhaps being
interviewed, please email us. We would be very grateful for your answers)
Choice 1
Eat food that was grown with a cocktail of poisons (herbicides, pesticides,
fungicides), chemicals, “potentially” Genetically modified organisms (there
is almost no labelling so far of these foods in international markets) and
artificial toxic fertilisers potentially containing heavy metals.
Choice 2
Eat food that was grown with a life-giving bacteria, derived only from cow
manure collected from a biodynamic/organic farm. This food has been
produced with NO poisons, chemicals or toxic fertilisers, only a substance
which brings life to the soils in which the food is grown and therefore brings life
to the foods to be consumed. Biodynamic foods are also grown with natural
fertilisers as required.
I imagine that if you are a sane human being and truly care about your health in
the short and long term, you would choose to eat Biodynamic/Organic food.
Do consumers really have the choice?
The difference between having this opportunity to “choose” in this hypothetical
situation, and what is happening out in the real world, is that most people have
no idea of the way in which their food is being grown. There is no labelling of
what farmers are using to grow their produce, on produce and products, except
when the label states that food is grown, “biodynamically” or “organically”. I have
not so far found produce in most shops that state which chemicals or fertilisers
were used to grow the products I am buying in any shops I have been to around
the world!
Therefore effectively people have little or NO real choice as to the products they
are buying and therefore eating, unless they buy “biodynamic or organic” foods. If
anyone can help me to find produce that is stating the chemicals, drenches,
hormones or fertilisers that have been used in the production of any product from
conventional agriculture, please contact me and let me know.
Those who are very conscious of the foods they are eating for themselves and
their families, tend to discover the power and uniqueness of biodynamic produce
after a time. It is still a method of growing food that is not so well known
throughout the world, but the awareness of the benefits of eating this produce is
growing exponentially internationally.
The practice of biodynamic agriculture is allowing consumers to eat foods that
are ‘life enhancing’, therefore helping to bring increased health and wellbeing to
the consumers who buy and eat biodynamically grown foods. Organically grown
foods are also grown without the use of artificial fertilisers, hormones, chemical
drenches, chemicals and so on.
In this way, biodynamic agriculture is similar to organic farming. In another way
though, biodynamic agriculture is completely different to organic farming. Organic
farmers tend to use more composted manures, both animal and plant.
Biodynamic farmers are using the preparations such as ‘500’ to spray out over
the land and the living bacteria, does the work to bring life to the soil. Natural
rock phosphates and minerals tend to be used in places where particularly in
Western Australia our soils tend to be very mineral deficient.
When anyone really looks at the implications of the fact that we can grow
amazingly healthy and tasty foods, from one handful of ‘500’ to the acre, together
with occasional natural organic inputs, biodynamic agriculture can only be
described as a miraculous, life-enhancing, world changing, precious blessing to
humanity.
The fact that this method of looking after the land has not spread world wide very
quickly, can perhaps be attributed to the possibility that it stands as a major
threat to modern conventional practices of agriculture, where huge multi-national
companies market and promote to farmers world wide, that poisons and artificial
fertilisers are essential in the production of food and falsely claim that they are
safe.
The modern pretext that it is ‘impossible to grow food without chemicals and
artificial fertilisers’ has been promoted for more than fifty years throughout
schools, universities and agricultural colleges. These words have been spoken
and promoted for a long enough time that many farmers quote this saying as a
fact, instead of a theory.
The theory of modern conventional chemical based agriculture, was founded by
a German scientist Dr Liebig. This can of course be turned around to Dr “big lie”.
The chemical companies grabbed his theories of the advantages of growing food
with chemically processed water-soluble fertilisers and ran with them.
He said this way of farming would lead to farmers having bigger yields. By the
time he was realising that his theory was faulty, in that while there were
increased yields unfortunately the application of the artificial chemically
processed fertilisers (which are made with substances like sulphuric acid) lead to
more acidic and unhealthy soils.
The plants and animals grown on these soils were not as healthy and the food
did not taste as good. By this time, it was too late to stop the movement of multi-
national companies who were producing and marketing these products to
farmers in the pursuit of ever increasing profits.
We now know many farmers who have told us that they will not let their wives
and families go anywhere near the canola paddocks. Why? We have met
beekeepers whose hives have been wiped out after farmers have sprayed the
canola. We know canola growers who use a chemical that they have told us is
banned all over the world but still used here in Western Australia. We have met
fruit growers who have told us they will not let their families go near their packing
sheds and they have an organic orchard for their families. What is going on
here?
Biodynamic agriculture is seen to be a very “alternative” method of farming in the
modern world. My husband William and I have been growing food in a successful
commercial way on an almost 3,000 acre property in Williams Western Australia
since 1987.
Many farmers have said to us that it is not possible to grow food without
chemicals and artificial fertilisers. Almost 30 years ago, one of these farmers said
to us, that our farm would be “barren” in ten years. That farmer has now sold his
farm due to increased debt and decreased productivity along with others who
made similar comments.
On our land, “Boraning”, (which in the local indigenous dialect, means “place of
spiritual wisdom”), we grow biodynamic beef, lamb, oats, olive oil, table olives,
pistachios, many fruits and vegetables, breed horses for horse sports and live a
life that people probably don’t even know is possible to live in the modern world.
We have an eco-tourism business, a music business, a Christian community and
now a church that meets every Sunday in our Café.
We live a “biodynamic” life full of amazing surprises, travel internationally to take
part in concerts, speaking engagements, events and have a wide variety of
exciting activities every day. Biodynamic agriculture is caring for the land on
which we live. We can eat the food we grow with happiness knowing the way in
which it has been grown, and walk across the land with a feeling of warmth that
is even ‘beyond’ the light of the sun.
The passion for living that comes from knowing that the way we are growing food
is right for ourselves, our family, friends and all of the people who buy our
produce is the one of the main answers to “WHY” we farm biodynamically.
Something money can’t buy is the happiness that comes from this lifestyle.
In the very last words Jesus speaks in the Gospel of Mark (Mark 16 :15) Jesus commands us all to “go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature”. These exact words are in the New King James version. When I opened up the bible for my early morning reading recently, I was deeply moved by these words.
As our family live out on the land and are surrounded by many creatures, I found myself smiling in a way that I could feel the love God has for all of His creation rising up inside my heart. I can remember when I was a child seeing the movie, Dr Doolittle and loving the idea or possibility that I could really talk to animals, the way he did in the film. The moment I read the words written in that gospel, I felt excited that Jesus is telling me to go out and preach the gospels to “every creature”. I could just see myself going and preaching to all of the magpies as they sing their songs to us every morning. They are singing right now as I am writing these words!
From the time I became Christian I have been travelling all over the world, singing and preaching to people in concerts, on the streets, in people’s homes, whilst having my hair done at the hairdresser’s, in churches, and every where I can speak where anyone would listen, but I have not so far gone out and been preaching to God’s creatures!
After reading these words to our Christian community where we live, different members have been telling us that they have been preaching to our cat, some of the horses and so on, to great effect. Our very old cat, known simply as “puss”, has been developing a slightly mad behaviour pattern, where as soon as she sees anyone, she meows in this extreme way and wants everyone to feed her immediately.
She is quite old, and even though we feed her incessantly, and have given her worming tablets, she is a little thin. It appears she is obsessed with tinned cat food. Apparently there could be something in the food, which causes cats to become addicted. I would believe this, except that none of our other cats behave in this way, so I suspect that she is getting old and perhaps is losing her “marbles”.
One of the members of the community, after hearing the reading the other morning, went and prayed for puss to be healed and preached the words of Jesus to her, and she has been a new cat since then! She is no longer meowing in this insane manner and seems to be interested again in sitting on the couch and being patted, something I haven’t seen too much of lately.
I know that people say that there is “more in heaven and earth than man can ever dream of”, and change in puss confirms the saying yet again. Jesus however, has given us so many keys, I know for all of us, there is always more we can learn from Him to apply in a very practical way, every moment of the day! When He said that anyone who obeys His commands can do what He did and even greater things, I want to encourage everyone to keep going. Keep looking to Jesus, His words bring us to new life every day, if we will do what He says. This never ceases to astonish me, how much more there is for us every day, if we will obey Him.
Published in “Truth Alive”, September 2016
Jesus said over 2,000 years ago:
“Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” (John 14:23)
We can find many different translations of the same scripture in the different versions of the Holy Bible but Jesus here is simply saying that if we LOVE Him, we will OBEY Him. If we love Him we will obey His teachings. In Matthew 23:10, Jesus says not to call anyone “teacher” as He is our ONLY teacher.
Many times when God has lead me to be singing and speaking all over the world, He has through these journeys, taken me to churches, the result of which, has been a sense of really wondering what is going on with Christians around the nations, in their understanding of the clear and powerful instructions of Jesus. I have been lead to wonder whether “Christians” are truly “awake” as Jesus tells us to be(Matthew 25: 1-13). He speaks about the “bridesmaids” having to “stay awake” as they never know when the “bridegroom is coming”. I don’t want to be rude, but it often appears these precious words have not reached the ears of many of the modern day Christians whom I have met!
God has guided me to go to churches, where after the service, the main question I have been asked, is “What church do I attend?” This has bewildered me, as I am a Christian and am seeking to obey Jesus every day. God is number one in my life. I love Jesus and want to serve His Father in the greatest way I can, twenty-four hours a day every day. On my travels it is a shock to me that I do not recall Christians outside of a church service asking me what has been happening to me in my relationship with the almighty God, or wanting to speak about their relationship with Him! The following types of questions have NOT been asked. What miracles have been happening? What challenges has God been bringing? What breakthroughs has He been helping with, and so on.
There is no church I have been to where I recall any person speaking with me after the service about the awesomeness of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and what this mighty God has been doing in their lives! I haven’t experienced Christians ever speaking to me about the seriousness of obeying Jesus. Jesus said He came to “light a fire” and how He wished it was already lit (Luke 12:49). The first time I ever read the Gospels after giving my life to Jesus, I felt this fire starting to burn inside me and warm me to the inside out. Jesus speaks about the importance of His words in Matthew 24:35. He says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will never pass away”. I have no recollection of ever meeting Christians who have talked to me of their own knowing of the importance of the words of Jesus, in the way that He is saying that His words are so important that virtually everything shall pass away, but what He has spoken will never pass away. (Mark 13:31) His words will exist forever!
When Jesus said, “If you love me you will obey me” what was He talking about? That to me is something so special about what is possible for every single individual human in our relationship with Jesus. He says, “Ask and you will receive”. (Luke 11:9) I have taken Him literally. I have been asking Him for years, “What do you mean Lord Jesus” about anything He said, and He has taken me on my own intimate journey with Him to help me to put into practice what He is talking about. Hence, I live a very amazing and miraculous life. Not just once in a “blue moon”, but every day!
God is showing me that it is time for Christians to wake up and realise that we are not going to “get into the Kingdom” as Jesus says, unless we do His will. I have travelled all over the world with only God’s second by second instructions to guide me to where He wants me to go. So many miracles have occurred due to seeking and obeying Him. I could not possibly have arrived at the places He wanted me to get to, just from Bible study and the church that I attend. I have had to learn to listen to Him every day, better and better, deeper and deeper. I am so excited about God because He makes every day life an adventure second to none. Jesus is the way to the Father. My understanding of the words He spoke over two thousand years ago is that He wants us to “look to His Father” and obey not only the Father but also His teachings. If we will obey His teachings, we can come to His Father and live an “abundant” life. He said that He came to bring us “Life in abundance” (John 10:10) God bless you! Get the fire He came to bring, “Get up and walk” (John 5:8), start seeking God with a passion, make Him number ONE in your life and live the life He has created you to Live.
